The Innovator’s DNA – Develop the Innovator in You

Andrew Maxwell, Chief Innovation Officer of the Canadian Innovation Centre, interviews Jeff Dyer, Hal Gregersen and Clayton Christensen, authors of The Innovator’s DNA, which looks at the origins of innovative – and often disruptive – business ideas.

Eight years of research have identified five skills that distinguish innovative entrepreneurs – associating, questioning, observing, networking and experimenting.  In addition, a critical research from their research is that one’s ability to generate innovative ideas is not merely a function of the mind, but also a function of behaviours.  In other words, one can improve creative impact by changing behaviour.

This interview is part of the Canadian Innovation Centre’s “Spotlight on Innovation” series of interviews with leaders in the world of innovation.
